Covid-19 Update: Message from our CEO

The coronavirus pandemic has caused significant challenges and issues to charities and organisations right across the world. Here we share a message from our CEO, Richard Haigh, explaining how The Key is adapting to the changing situation:

“In response to the third lockdown, we wanted to let you know that The Key has decided to reduce the hours of some of our staff temporarily.

We’ve seen the young people and partners we work with deliver some excellent Key projects during lockdown. Our priority is still to maintain the accessibility of The Key Framework, adjusting staffing and increasing capacity wherever needed.

The staff leading our development plans will continue to drive that forward to some of the exciting new partnerships we are forming. However, there are parts of our organisation that, while government support is an option, we need to conserve resources so we’re in the best possible position when our partners return to normality and group activity returns to its usual levels.

We have organised ourselves in a way which means until further notice we will operate on a  Monday-Thursday basis so we are still very much ‘open to business’ and welcome conversations or queries. We continue to work remotely so it may be worth contacting us by email in the first instance. Whilst our phone lines will remain available, it may take us slightly longer than usual to answer and get back to you.

Finally, I want to finish with the message that we remain entirely committed to improving the lives of young people, especially those facing challenging circumstances.

Take care & stay safe,

Richard & The Key Team”
