Introduction to The Key Training

‘Introduction to The Key’ training qualifies you as a Key Facilitator and a member of The Key Network. Once you have attended you can add the Key Framework to your Youth Work toolkit to enhance the work that you are already doing with Young People.

This course will use two of your training credits per trainee.

To become a Key Facilitator you must:

  • work or volunteer for an organisation that has a safeguarding policy, risk assessment procedure, equality policy,  health and safety policy and public liability insurance.
  • have an acceptable DBS clearance within the last 3 years.
  • work or volunteer in an organisation that has a valid Key membership (from January 2016 onwards).

The training aims:

  • To help you gain an understanding of The Key Framework & your role as a Key Facilitator.
  • To make you feel inspired, confident and full of ideas to get your Key journey started.

  • To gain knowledge of the tools and resources available to you as a Key Facilitator.
