Being involved with The Key doesn't have to stop once you've taken part in KEY+ - it can evolve into something even bigger. The Key collective is a supportive space for young people to stay connected, build on what you've learnt, and step into new opportunities that matter to you. Whether you've completed one challenge, all three, or are somewhere in between, you're welcome to join and grow with us.
The Key Collective is about continuing your journey, connecting with others, and using your voice in creative, meaningful ways. Here are some of the ways you could get involved:
Want to make a real difference? Volunteer with The Key and help bring young people’s ideas to life. As a Panel Member you’ll review projects created by other young people and give them the green light to make it happen.
It’s flexible, easy to fit around your life, and a great way to inspire others!
Join The Key’s Youth Advisory Board
Make your voice heard and help shape the future of The Key. Our YAB is made up of passionate young people who share their ideas, give honest feedback, and help influence real decisions that shape our work.
Being part of the YAB is a chance to speak up on issues that matter to you, build your leadership skills, and make a real difference alongside other inspiring young people.
We’re not always recruiting new members, but we keep a list of interested young people so that when spaces open up - for example, when members move on to exciting opportunities like full-time jobs or university - we can invite new voices to join quickly. If this sounds like something for you, let us know and we’ll keep in touch for future opportunities
Get hands-on experience that helps you build real skills and boost your confidence - all in a supportive, encouraging environment. Whether it’s helping to run events, supporting upcoming projects, or working behind the scenes, this is your chance to learn by doing. You'll gain practical experience, grow your network, and discover what you’re capable of.
We may not always have work experience opportunities available, but if this is something you’re interested in, we’ll be in touch when they come up - or you can reach out to us to find out more.
We love putting young people at the heart of everything we do - and that includes running out events.
When we say “host”, we mean you get to be the one on stage: welcoming everyone, introducing speakers, sharing your voice, and helping lead the day. It's your chance to shine, build confidence, and inspire others.
We don’t always have events coming up, but we’ll be in touch when opportunities to host arise.
