Are you ready to make your voice matter and shape the future for young people? Then you can’t miss Seen & Heard: The National Youth Strategy in Newcastle on Tuesday 24th of March 2026! An amazing opportunity for young people like you to get together, share ideas, and talk to decision‑makers about the issues that really affect your lives!
Seen and Heard is part of a series of events connected to Youth Matters (the National Youth Strategy) — a brand‑new plan that’s been created to make life better for young people across England. That means more spaces to go, more chances to build skills, and real power to shape decisions that matter to you.
At this event in Newcastle, you’ll get to:
It’s not just another talk — it’s your chance to shape what happens next!
This event is designed for young people aged up to 21 — and up to 25 if you have SEND (special educational needs and/or disabilities). So whether you’re in school, college, working, volunteering or exploring life after exams, join us!
Why this matters:
According to research, almost half of young people feel like their voices aren’t listened to when decisions are made that affect them. Many feel they don’t know how to influence what happens locally or nationally. That’s why events like Seen & Heard exist - to change that.
The National Youth Strategy is all about giving young people opportunities to speak up, connect, and take real part in shaping their communities - whether that’s through influencing services, building youth spaces, or having a say in the policies that affect your daily life.
