Our five‑year partnership with the Paul Hamlyn Foundation has been a defining chapter in The Key’s story - a period of learning, steady strengthening and transformation. 

Support from Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Strategic Youth Investment Fund came at a pivotal time just before the world changed with the COVID-19 pandemic. It gave us the stability, confidence and space we needed to reflect, evolve and focus on what young people needed most. And when the pandemic unfolded, that foundation proved invaluable, helping us navigate and respond to an unprecedented period while continuing to support young people to build confidence, develop skills and shape their futures. 

With this flexible support over the five years, we refreshed our programmes and refocused our purpose, mission and strategy to ensure The Key and the KEY+ Challenge was best meeting the needs of young people and delivering the best possible outcomes.
