Do you know someone who would like to inspire local young people by believing themselves? We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our mission and become friendly 'dragons' as young people pitch for funding.

What's a Volunteer Panel Member (VPM)?
During the KEY+ Challenge, young people come together in small groups and are set the challenge to Think, Plan, Pitch, do and Review. At Pitch, young people must pitch their project ideas and individual development to a live panel of friendly, but challenging, volunteers. Similar to a Dragon’s Den pitch (but a lot less scary!)

The pitch panel is made up of Volunteer Panel Members (VPM) who listen to the young people's project idea before quizzing them on their idea, planning, budget and development. It's then up to the panel to decide whether to give the group the go ahead to actually do their project.

About the role
Becoming a Volunteer Panel Member (VPM) is the perfect voluntary role that can fit around even the busiest of schedules. You can accept or decline invitations to young people's pitch panels to suit your schedule meaning volunteering fits easily around you.

After the volunteer application process, we'll support you with an initial 45 minute training session where we'll give you the tools, tip and tricks to be the best VPM going. Once trained, you're ready to accept your first panel invite and begin to inspire young people to build skills, confidence and self-belief!
