Step into September: Unlocking Opportunities with The Key
As schools, colleges and youth organisations open their doors this September, thousands of young people are stepping into a new term full of possibilities. For some, it’s the start of a new adventure at secondary school or college. For others, it’s about building on progress made last year, exploring new interests, and setting fresh goals.
At The Key, we know that the start of term can bring mixed feelings. Excitement, nerves, change - sometimes all at once. That’s why we’re here to make sure young people have the tools and confidence to take the lead in their own journeys.
Whether it’s tackling the move into Year 7 through our KEY+ Transitions programme, supporting youth voice in schools and community groups, or enabling young people to design and deliver their own projects, The Key is about putting power into the hands of 11–25 year olds.
This year, we’re looking forward to:
- Welcoming new groups into the KEY+ Challenge
- Supporting even more schools and youth organisations across the North East
- Championing young people’s ideas, resilience and creativity every step of the way
To every young person starting a new term: this is your time. Believe in your ideas, take those first steps, and know you’re not alone — The Key is here to support you.
